Communication
At ACSYL we're fascinated by communication: how it works, why it fails and how we can learn to improve it. Winston Churchill famously said, "Jaw jaw is better than war war." Yet communication goes far beyond words, either spoken or written. So much depends on what the speaker is NOT saying, and whether the listener is paying attention to body language and tone of voice. It's awfully easy to think we've understood what someone has told us, only to find out later that we're some distance away. As Daniel W Davenport said, "The greatest problem in communication is the illusion that it has been accomplished."
We enjoy collecting resources to share, and hope you'll find something of interest here for your own journey.
