It's exciting to see how much progress the WorkFit arm of the Down's Syndrome Association has made. A few months ago it created its 250th work placement since 2012. If you'd like to read about this milestone achievement, here's the link: WorkFit creates 250th placement
WorkFit supports people with Down's Syndrome to find a range of jobs in the broader community. Depending on the individual, this could be a temporary work placement, a voluntary job or a permanent paid job. The WorkFit team's particular strength is the way it coaches not just the worker but also the employing company. In this way employers and their staff learn how to make reasonable adjustments so their new colleagues can flourish by doing meaningful work at which they excel.
